What does self-consumption mean?

Self-consumption shows how much of your self-generated solar power you use directly in your household – instead of feeding it into the grid. The higher the value, the more you benefit from your own system.

Before = Without battery storage, you only use the power that is currently being produced (e.g., during the day). After = With storage, you can save excess solar power for evenings and nights.

How do we calculate savings?

Without storage, excess solar power is fed into the grid – for which you receive the feed-in tariff (approx. 8 Rp./kWh). With storage, you use this power yourself and save on more expensive grid electricity (approx. 30 Rp./kWh).

The savings result from the difference between electricity price and feed-in tariff, multiplied by the additional self-consumed electricity thanks to storage.

Note: These values are estimates without guarantee. Actual savings depend on your electricity tariff, your grid operator's feed-in tariff, and your consumption behavior.
